An exciting new Assembly Technician role has arisen within our client's business. We are seeking a passionate and committed junior Assembly Technician to join our client's dynamic team and work on specialist projects. Due to the nature of the role, no day is ever the same and you will be learning from a team of brilliant and talented technicians as a recognised industry specialist. The client is committed to the learning and development of their staff, and will invest in making sure they have the right skills and knowledge to be successful and achieve their potential. A willingness to learn, a positive outlook, and a can-do attitude will be essential in this role.

  • Clean Driver’s License preferable. If you are offered a role, the status of your driving licence will be checked.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
  • Fork Lift Truck Operators Licence would be an advantage but not essential

The successful candidate for this Assembly Technician role will manage their time efficiently, be punctual, reliable, and work well autonomously to deliver an efficient service. You will ideally be educated to at least GCSE standard or over in basic IT, with a neat and tidy approach to your work. You will have a basic understanding of assembly instructions and ideally have an inclination towards DIY skills. Finding the right person is key to our client, meaning someone with a great work ethic and eagerness to learn. For this reason, full training will be provided and a mixture of full-time, temporary opportunities offered to suit the right applicant. You need to have a flexible approach to your work, as there may be occasional earlies and lates from time-to-time (although assembly line generally operates 08:00 – 17:00, Monday-Friday). Occasional Saturday work should be expected although this only occurs in exceptional circumstances. This role will start as a Temporary job. However, the successful candidate will be very likely to gain a permanent position. if you are currently in a permanent job, please still send your application, as this client is very keen to grow a dedicated, reliable team, as the company is growing.

What do you want from me?

To be considered for this Assembly Technician role, you will need the following experience:

  • Electrical or joinery apprenticeship / experience would be beneficial but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills - given the nature of some builds that require a quick and effective response to emergency/Ad-hoc requests often in live hospitals
  • Support our project managers and internal teams with technical assembly advice
  • Read basic technical drawings to facilitate build accuracy
  • Ability to review technical drawings
  • Supporting other areas of the business on an ad-hoc and as required basis
