An exciting new Purchasing Manager role has arisen within our client's business. Our client seeks someone who can manage the purchasing team and be responsible for all purchasing and procurement.
So, what could a normal day consist of?
- Maintaining up-to-date industry knowledge and remain commercially aware of changes
- Developing supplier relationships and lead negotiations
- Leading the purchasing team, teaching them the best practice techniques
- Take responsibility for the implementation and management of Supplier Contracts.
- Reviewing credentials of potential new suppliers, ensuring suppliers are compliant with our client requirements
- Identify cost reduction opportunities
- Identify potential problems, maintain the confidence to suggest and implement solutions
- Negotiating distributorships with suppliers.
- Set goals and deadlines for the whole purchasing Team

The successful candidate for this Purchasing Manager should have great people skills, they should have the ability to negotiate quickly and effectively.
