Due to investment and company growth in our clients business, an exciting new Direct Mail Production Team Leader role has arisen within our client's team. We are seeking an experienced Direct Mail Production Team Leader with a target-driven approach to oversee the production team and maintain and implement a performance-driven environment. The team you will be leading are a hard-working and have a great work ethic. Similarly, you will have a positive, can-do attitude and a proven track record for motivating and encouraging staff. Direct Mail fulfilment experience will be essential, as well as a proven track record for managing direct mail production teams.

What do you want from me?

To be considered for this Direct Mail Production Team Leader role, you will need the following experience:

• 2yrs experience within a direct mail production team (ESSENTIAL)
• Knowledge of postal services and products across DSA and Royal Mail is also essential
• Proven track record managing direct mail production teams
• Ability to operate and problem solve enclosing machinery desirable
• Microsoft Office Package: Excel, outlook, teams, word etc desirable

So, what could a normal day consist of?

Manage a team of production operatives Monitor performance, speed and output of the production department and implement tangible improvements Implement a target driven environment with meaningful KPI’s that ultimately improve the business performance Ensure the business achieves an ‘On Time in Full’ delivery in excess of 98% Manage the quality of output throughout the production team ensuring we target a zero-error culture Coordinate the workflow to ensure maximum efficiency is gained through careful planning and execution of job distribution Drive a continuous improvement program through the department with measurable gains Manage the maintenance schedule of equipment and machinery Control the inventory required within the production department Promote a culture of teamwork, positivity and professionalism Ensure that at all times the housekeeping across the plant remains at the highest possible standard Conduct monthly staff meetings to ensure that all targets are being met and to keep open communications with the staff

A proven track record of working flexibly around tasks will be required, as you will be required to work to deadlines effectively and autonomously. You will be leading a vibrant and driven team, so a positive outlook is essential. Shifts will be rotating - double-day shifts (06:00 - 14:00 / 14:00 - 22:00, Monday – Friday).
