An exciting new Technical Office Assistant role has arisen within our client's business. We are seeking someone who has a technical background and a keen interest in science, maths and the environmental sector. This is an Office based position reporting to the Technical Team Leader and will have a range of duties associated to the role.

So, what could a normal day consist of?

  • You must have a professional manner and support Technical Team members
  • Provide day to day support with technical queries to the company, when requested.
  • Providing customer service via the telephone and email
  • Handle manufacturing plant queries
  • Update the CRM system with any relevant information where applicable
  • Perform basic laboratory analysis tests
  • Prepare quality reports. (This task has a potential to evolve further into project information and schematic review and designing of treatment units into the project)
  • Dealing with customers and organising the return part postage to the office
  • Returning parts to manufacturers
  • Relay reports to the manufacturers on the results of inspections
  • Logging each step in the return parts log and CRM system as required
  • Assisting with some warehouse duties when required to help the team during busy periods

The successful candidate for this Technical Office Assistant should be able to be a well organised person capable of prioritising and be able to multi task on many different tasks at the same time, and, also have a keen eye to detail and the ability to follow the task's through until the end.

What do you want from me?

To be considered for this Technical Office Assistant role, you will need the following experience:

  • Candidates will preferably have A-levels (A-C) or excellent GCSE grades
  • Good level of English, Maths and Science are essential
  • Having a keen Interest in science or environmental and technical disciplines would be advantageous
  • If you have a Knowledge of Auto CAD it would be an advantage but not essential
  • Use of Photoshop
  • Knowledge of basic electronics would be advantageous but not essential
  • Computer literacy is vital, use of Microsoft Word and Excel is essential​
