Our client, a high-end successful interiors company is seeking a qualified quantity surveyor who is looking to build a career in a reputable company. This client is interested in a candidate that has had experience within refurbishments.

So, what could a normal day consist of?

• Price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project

• Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation

• Track changes to the design and work and adjust the budget projections accordingly

• Measure and value the work done on site

• Pay subcontractors

• Liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers and site engineer

• Write reports

The successful candidate for this Quantity Surveyor role should be able to work within a small team and relate to people from all walks of life. This position is working within the hours of 09:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday and will involve occasional travel in to London.

What do you want from me?

To be considered for this exciting Quantity Surveyor role, you will need the following experience:

• Fully qualified

• Experience is estimating and procurement

• Good working knowledge of construction or civil engineering

• Full driving licence

• Good IT skills particularly work and excel

• Great communications

• Good understanding of standard of measurement.
